Memorabilia sales
Thank you for visiting us at hmm-265.org. We offer a few squadron memorabilia items for sale in furtherance of our mission as stated on our home page. All items are marked with squadron logos and would be of interest only to former Marines who have served with HMM-265. Payment, including shipping and credit card fees, must be received prior to shipment and all sales are final.
Inventory Management and Shipping Policies
The following terms and conditions constitute our inventory management and shipping policies. This is being written in December, 2023, and we are in the process of setting up our online memorabilia sales operation. We have no historical data so all of this is speculative and doubtless will evolve as we gain experience.
Simple products are those that have no complicating characteristics like color and size. Our coffee mugs, challenge coins and lapel pins fall cleanly into that category. If we kept our inventory of those items in bins then we would need only three bins. Our adjustable ball caps are not quite that simple because we offer them in two colors, but they would add only two more bins. Five bins are easy to manage so we routinely maintain an inventory of those five items.
Variable products are those that do have complicating characteristics like color and size. We offer three styles of shirts in five colors and six sizes. Continuing the “bin” analogy, if we wanted to be sure to always have every item in stock that anyone might want to order then we would need 30 bins for each style of shirt, or 90 bins. Clearly, that is not feasible for a low-tech operation with low sales volume and a small and dwindling customer base.
Accumulating orders Our supplier does not offer immediate, one-off production and direct-to-customer shipping on single orders because the setup costs would be prohibitive. Instead, we accumulate orders for those items until we reach 30 shirts of mixed colors and sizes, the number required to obtain the listed prices, and then place an order with the supplier for shipment to our volunteer fulfillment manager. The fulfillment manager then ships the individual orders. Therefore, the time it takes for a customer to receive a shirt order will depend on how long it takes to accumulate the 30-shirt threshold for placing an order with the supplier, receiving the order from the supplier, and then shipment to customer by the fulfillment manager.

Orders for in-stock items are processed as quickly as we can, generally 2-3 business days. Although we do not routinely maintain an inventory of shirts, we do have some tee shirts left over from the Tucson reunion. Those are available for immediate shipment. Please remember, though, that we are your non-profit veterans association and that everything is done by volunteers. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders then shipments may be delayed by a few days. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order then we will contact you via email.
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
We ship to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking When your order has shipped you will receive an email containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Damages We are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged then please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
