To join simply fill out and submit the Application for Membership below. This is our own form and is used by our membership officer to check you out. He will add you to the master roster and send you an email when you are accepted, with copy to the Webmaster. This places you on the list to receive information from us, mostly about coming reunions.

When you get that email from the membership officer go to ‘https://hmm-265.org/Members/Members Feature/Register’ and register for access to the members-only section. This form comes to us from the website plugin (technobabble) that we use for overall membership management. It checks membership status before allowing access to the members-only section. The plugin sends the form to the Webmaster for approval. The Webmaster will approve it based on the membership officer’s acceptance email to you. The Webmaster will change your membership status from “Pending” to “Subscriber” and give you access to the members-only section.

Why all of the BS to sign up? To keep out the hackers, spammers, and other assorted ne’re-do-wells who constantly besiege our site. We review our security reports daily and see a lot of attempts. In the words of the late, great Ronald Reagan, “Trust but verify.”

Items on the form below that are marked with an asterisk are required. Some of the info we ask for is there to help us weed out the ne’er-do-wells, but also to help our Marines remember each other. None of it will be publicly posted except for whatever you choose to put in your member profile if you register for access to our website. Also, your name, nickname, job-in-265 and years-in-265, nothing else, will be placed on a public list to help old friends find each other via the Webmaster.
