LtCol Ritter post-RTB tidbits
LtCol Ritter’s daughter, Kay Ritter Grasso, ran across a couple of interesting tidbits while going through his things following his RTB. She wrote, “He was 55 days from 101 yrs old!! He was ready to go see Mom. Oh, I found a “gift” given to my Mom when they left HMM-265. See picture . . .” She sent three views of an ash tray with a miniature thunder-mug in the middle. The final view shows LtCol Ritter’s picture on the raised seat. She later sent a photo of a couple of old license plates that showed how proud he was of having commanded HMM-265.
