Good Morning,

I am a contractor assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) working MACVSOG losses.

On 6 MAR 1967 (maybe 5 MAR), a SOG Hatchet force was inserted into Salavan Province, Laos, by USMC CH-46s. One SF/SOG was lost and remains unaccounted for. I believe the choppers involved were from HMM 265.

DPAA is interested in speaking with any HMM 265 personnel who either were on that mission or have any recollections of the incident.

How can we know that you are who you say you are? 2. Such a mission, if flown, would have been highly classified. How can we know that it has been declassified so that my comrades could talk safely about it with you?
